I have so many red shades, but it feels and looks lightly different with different brands. I always tend to wear red lips. Clinique has one of the best lipsticks and so, I gave this “Red-y To Wear” a try. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with Clinique High Impact Lip Colour 12 Red-y To Wear:
The lipstick is the traditional bullet lipstick form. It comes in a sliver metallic casing. The casing is quite heavy making it look and feel expensive. The whole lipstick comes in a cardboard packaging with ingredients and colour written on it It’s a typical Clinique packaging.
The casing has alternating matte and shine rings all over. The only problem is that one cannot make out where the cap or the base starts and ends. One needs to hold ends and pull apart for the lipstick to open. While closing, it also makes a click which is a very satisfying feel. The lipstick is very secure within the packaging and very safe to travel with. The lipstick has no distinctive fragrance.
The shade is deep red. This is a colour which everyone should own. The lipstick is quite creamy and so very easy to apply. It glides very smoothly and does not drag along. The colour is very highly pigmented. It hides also pigmented lips with just one swipe. The Lipstick also lasts long. One can eat light and also drink, but it does not budge. Reapplication is necessary only when you eat very oily stuff.
The red shade has blue undertones which makes it even starker. I have used this shade as a full on bright red and also to just tint my lips slightly. It works well in both ways. The shade is so great that it alone can brighten up the whole look all by itself.
This shade looks great on all skin tones. The lipstick feels very light and comfortable on the lips. It can be worn all day without any kind of irritation or trouble. The lipstick itself is quite moisturising.
Overall, it has been by favorite red lipstick till date.
