Well well, this is a random one! But Clonakilty and West Cork in general are pulling out all the stops to make sure you have a fantastic summer - first came Cork X Southwest on the last weekend of June and now comes the Waterfront Festival.
Basically it's €50 for the whole weekend which includes a four day pass to a series of events.
Thursday - Flavours of West Cork - Clonakilty is known for it's black and white pudding, yogurts and sausages. But it's also one of the best places to get fairtrade products being one of the first Fairtrade towns in Ireland. Known for it's fantastic food this is one for the foodies who prehaps missed (or even went and fancy something new) A Taste of Dublin. Accompanied by the roaring Forties - Not to be missed!
Friday - Summer BBQ - ABBA and a Queen Tribute. You can get into the 70's spirit and be right on trend - don't forget to accessorise with flares and sideburns
Saturday - Full Moon Party - Okay this is the big one with La Roux DJ set, Fish Go Deep and Dj Craig Scott.
Sunday - Alabama 3, Royseven and Fred and B positives accompanied by the Farmers Market.
Sounds fantastic! Each event is individually priced so if you can't make the whole weekend then you can attend any day that takes your fancy!
It's great to see something like this, especially in Clonakilty, where I grew up - So support! and enjoy a great weekend to boot!
