Harry Styles says giving best man speech at mum's wedding was "most nerve-racking thing I've ever done"

He spends most nights making girls squeal in joy by strutting around in some skinny black jeans and brown boots – with a smudge of pop music.

But Harry Styles reckons performing with One Direction don’t come close to the nerves he felt before giving a best man speech at his mum’s wedding in June this year.

“I did give a speech and I can honestly say it was the most nerve-racking thing I’ve ever done,” he said.

Harry, 19, continued: “I practised on my own for days beforehand, on the sofa reciting it to myself. I tried to make it have a bit of everything."

In the speech to roughly 100 guests at a restaurant in Cheshire he revealed: “When everyone thought it was going to be really emotional, I pulled the rug from under everyone’s feet and injected a bit of humour. It seemed to go well.”

The One Direction singer told The Sun the ceremony was a “really great day” when mum Anne Cox tied the knot to Robin Twist.

There’s no doubt the curly swordsman misses his time at home after spending most of his life touring with his bandmates but he insists he wouldn’t have it any other way.

After rumours swirled that Harry was recording solo material after a track leaked online he dismissed it, saying: “There’s been all these things being said [about going solo].

“But I honestly don’t want to do anything else,” he said, soothing the panicking hearts of One Direction fans around the world.

Harry could take his pick of literally millions of girls who fancy the pants off him but he claims to have only bedded two women in his life.

He famously dated Caroline Flack and Taylor Swift but has always remained coy about his private life.

"That is not something I want to spend a lot of time talking about," he told the newspaper.

"I don't get really upset about it. I feel daft complaining about it, though, because it's such a small part of what I do."

The croaky voiced charmer added: "Of course, I'm not saying I stay in every night..."

Obviously not. He wants to stay up all night and find a girl and tell her she's the one. We all know that, right?

Speaking about relationships, Harry opened up:" They're not easy, that's for sure. The only time it can get annoying is when you like someone, but they're thinking: 'But I've seen him with all these other.'

"It's OK, I get it. People who are close to me understand so that's fine. Take 10 of the people I've been linked to and eight or nine of them are just friends of people I've met once."

In an interview with Fabulous, he says he's worried about getting a bad reputation: "I just don't want to be seen as a d***head.

"I don't worry about my mum because she gets it and she knows what I'm like. But I don't want other people to think I'm an a***hole.

"But at the same time," he admits, "I'm not an angel."
