I found a needlepoint cover in an antique shop a long time ago.
I thought it was lovely so I brought it home.
For a long time it was the cover for a footstool. The footstool broke so it was folded up and put in the linen cabinet.
My collections of pillows and quilts are stored in this armoire.
It was getting a clean out and the forgotten cover was found.
A quick trip to Hobby Lobby yielded the perfect gray for the back.
I snipped a corner of the needlework off and took it with me to the store.
They had a perfect match.
It is also a perfect match with the bedding from Tuesday Morning. We have had these linens for about a year.
The flowers add a perfect pop of pink.
My friend Carol got Bill and I a painting for a wedding present.
How genius is that?
This watercolor was our first piece of original art.
It was in one of those groovy brass frames.
I popped it into a chalk painted frame but the mat had yellowed a lot.
Hobby Lobby had white matting for only $6.00.
It was easy to cut with an Exacto Knife.
It doesn't have the same beveled edge as the original mat but it works. I didn't double mat it either.
It's updated and cleaned up.
It is fun having this on display again.
The pink flowers in the pillow are a great match for the painting.
I love this easy and frugal change.
Thanks for letting me share.
Come back tomorrow for Keep In Touch.
