what makes the perfect child's space?

The kids have all moved bedrooms again and I'm inspired to create lovely spaces for them where they can have a little haven of their own to allow their imagination to run free and chill out after a long day at school. There are so many amazing ideas for children's rooms these days, it can get a little overwhelming.

What makes the perfect children's space?

Sleek stylishness..................

Riotous colour................

A place to call one's own..........

Great use of space ....................

Casual, but with a cool designer edge such as this Eames rocker?

An artistic realm.......

Or maybe a mix of all of the above........

However the children's bedrooms turn out, they will be nowhere near as perfectly styled as these, for sure. Though I do appreciate the thought and design that has been applied to each of these rooms.

I look forward to sharing the results with you in a couple of weeks time. It'll take me about that long to scrape the caked on Weet-Bix from the walls and floors. Ultimately, I think the best child's space has warmth, gentleness and nurturing qualities. A fluffy rug.........a collection of puffy pillows.......a magic corner........a pot of coloured pencils and crayons.......

I know this isn't a bedroom, but wouldn't you love to have one in your house?
