Wet N Wild recently really stepped up their game with lots of new items in their cosmetics line. They added some lovely eyeshadows, blush, lipsticks, along with other products. I picked up one of the megalast lip colors recently, they come in black packaging with a clear top. This brand is really cheap, but the quality isn't horrible and there are lots of varieties of colours available.
The description on the Wet N Wild website says this "Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, long-wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips." As for 4 hour wear, I find this lasts okay, I find it tends to fade over time, which I sort of like because this is so bright when you first apply it, it looks better once it sets a bit. It's not as creamy as say, the Revlon Colorburst lipsticks, you do need moisturized lips before applying, or else it will settle into your lip lines. I think these are more similar to Revlon's Matte lipsticks, these look matte to me, no shine at all.
I got the mega last lip color in "901B". I found out from the Wet N Wild website that this is also called "Think Pink", although it does not say that on my tube. It's a bubblegum pink colour,very pigmented and totally matte but with a creamy finish. It retails for about $3.37 at Walmart in Canada. There were lots of other colours, but I didn't want to more before I knew if I liked them or not. Yes, they are cheap, but buying just to buy makeup isn't the wisest, I could buy other things with that money. I did like the look of the peachy and mauve one too, and after trying this on, I think I am going to get more, cause they are pretty good.
So as you can tell this colour is like the pink version of concealer to me, it's really light. If you like that kind of thing, this may be for you. I like it personally, but I like dulling out my lips and with a clear gloss over it, it would look really good I think. On darker skintones, I think this colour may be too pale.
The packaging of this is really cheap, I don't like how you can't twist the bullet all the way down, like you can with most lipsticks. I had to be really careful not to wreck the lipstick when I put the clear top on, it can easily transfer on there. Once you use up like half of the lipstick, you won't have that problem. If you like matte, pigmented lipsticks for cheap, these are you for!
